23rd September 2014

I enrolled in the Class 2B Course at BBDC, it was a very speedy process.

Did pre-enrollment at one of the computer kiosk which took about 10minutes (you can also do this online before going to BBDC)

Took a queue number and when it was my turn the person at the counter just checked my information and explained some stuff to me then got me to put some money in the BBDC account to pay for the enrollment (I topped up $100 and used $58.85 for enrollment). The whole process took about 10minutes (waiting time was about 20minutes though) and I left with a goodie bag!

The bag contained:

  1. Motorcycle Practical Training Handbook
  2. The New Highway Code Book (even though I alr took BTT)
  3. Head Liner (for you to use if you want to use the school's helmet)
  4. Brochure for Class 2B
  5. NTUC Income Insurance Certificate
  6. BBDC Enrolment form
  7. Class 2B Theory Schedule
  8. BBDC Learners' Terms and Condition
I never used 2-8, just took the Handbook out to read in preparation for RTT

On the same day, I booked the compulsory 2 x Riding Theory Lessons (RTL) and 2 x Basic Theory Lesson (BTL) (I topped up another $30 and spent $68.48 for all 4 lessons)  which was still necessary even though I already took BTT.

Money spent $127.33 (with $2.67 left in account)
Time spent ~3hours (1 hour to get to BBDC, 1 hour there, 1 hour to get back from BBDC)

Introduction

I started this blog to record my journey of attaining my Class 2B license, as a sort of memory (cos I know I can't remember stuff well)

I am a 20 year old with no prior riding experience and no other civilian license. However, I do have military Class 3, 4 and 5. In the army, I clocked a mileage of approximately 3200km. I have taken my BTT and FTT in August 2013 hence these will not be in my costs for attaining the license.

If your situation is similar to mine then this blog can serve as a guide for you I guess.

Enjoy!
